About us

'Bioenergy for the Region' Cluster is a co-operation platform of companies, research institutions, local administration, and business support institutions, established in 2007. The main aim of our cooperation is sustainable energy development in Central Poland. In the context of climate change, we promote innovative solutions in renewable power engineering in local and regional dimensions. We engage in:

  1. complex solution of issues concerning the regulation of the biomass market in Central Poland, in particular, the methods of collection, processing, and use as a RES;
  2. integration of members of the Cluster - businesses, researchers, and local authorities in order to increase the share of solar and wind energy in the energy balance of the region;
  3. educational and information activities, promoting the use of renewable energy and energy efficiency;
  4. joint R&D&I activities aimed at stimulating regional and local development.

Since its establishment in 2007, the Cluster is coordinated by Research and Innovation Centre Pro-Akademia, a Polish non-profit research organisation.
